Philippians 4:6,7

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Do you ever feel like you can't get everything done? Does your mind race a mile a minute trying to figure out how to do all that you have on your to-do list? Everyone who knows me knows I am a huge worrier. I come from a long line of worriers and so it's difficult not to start worrying when situations start to get difficult.

Something that God has been working on me and my heart has been my symptoms of being worried and anxious. Being an Air Force wife, you never know what's ahead. With all of the changes that are constantly being made through moves and my husband's job, there's a lot of uncertainty. So, I've had to use a lot of paitence and pray that God will remind me He is in control.

The last couple of years has really been tough for us. I don't remember when the last time I've had that settled feeling. We've moved from Oklahoma to California to North Carolina. Mike and I were apart from each other for 7 months when I was in California. Then, once we got to North Carolina, we continued to face his work demands of a busy schedule. With us leaving after a short time, we never really experienced that settled feeling.

Now, we are packing up again, moving across the U.S., and we're getting ready to have our third child. There's a lot to do! So it's easy to worry about how it's all supposed to get done while feeling anxious that the next few months go fast. When I read this verse this morning, it was a great reminder once again that God is in control. If I'm feeling anxious, I need to turn to Him.

For Today...

Outside my window... are beautiful spring showers. God is providing for our needs through each drop of rain

I am thinking... about all of the different items I need to order for next year's curriculum. I'm arranging lists of things I'd like to purchase and I'm doing price comparisons online for different items.

From the learning rooms... we watched a video about sharks, explored God's creation outside, and watched the rain fall.

I am thankful for... our needs being provided for by God, the new baby, the opportunity to teach our children at home and raise them in a Christian environment, and for the blessings of children that God has given us thus far!

From the kitchen... our shelves are growing bare as we eat through all of our food before we move!

I am wearing... maternity capris and a tank top. I'm shoeless, like most of the time!

I am reading... reviews on different curriculum, books, and products. Also reading political articles in Newsweek. Too bad the articles are so left wing.

I am hoping... that all goes smoothly with the upcoming move. I have to remember that God is in control.

I am creating... my homeschool planner for next year.

I am praying... for strength to get through the end of this pregnancy and faith to know that all will work out with the next few months.

Around the house... it's a mess of boxes, piles of papers, etc.

One of my favorite things... to watch the kid's sleep. They are so peaceful and sweet.

A few plans for the rest of the week... Wednesday night church, packing, planning, etc.

I'm Back...

So it was time to start blogging again! I love being able to write out thoughts and read other people's pages as well. So I am starting fresh with this new blog! I hope it can also be an encourgament to others from time to time.
Love,
Carrie
